This species is a fantastic example of evolved camouflage. It closely mimics the petals of a flower with extended lobes on the legs. Coloration is primarily white with vivid pink and sometimes canary yellow and lime green accents. The exotic shape of the eyes is captivating and they can vary in color including light blue and violet. Males are considerably smaller than Females. This is one of the most beautiful and interesting species of mantis. The nymphs are red and black, resembling ants. On the first molt they undergo a striking color transformation to the stark white coloration the are known for. They need sufficient humidity to molt. A typical diet would be fruit flies then graduate to blue bottle flies as they mature. This is a relatively easy specimen to raise. You will love this mantis
